Using the spatula, tear apart the sausage and create bite-size pieces. Add eggs, salt, pepper, and green onions and scramble until just cooked. It will raise better too. Mine is dense and moist) Wet ingredients: 3 Overripe Banana (around 330 grams) 200 g Silken Tofu (firm) 1/4 cup of Almond Milk 3 TBS of coconut oil 1/2 cup of maple syrup (i've only used 1/4 maple syrup) 1 tsp of vanilla extract Put all the wet ingredients in a food processor or blender for about a minute or so! Then make a well in your dry ingredients and mix it in slowly until it is nicely mixed! Put it in the oven for 30-35 minutes at 180 degrees celsius, 350 degrees fahrenheit. That's about it. remember to let it cool down before slicing it up. :D ►A standard chia seed pudding► 1/4 cup of chia seeds 1 cup of almond milk or your preferred milk 1 tps of vanilla extract some maple syrup if you want some sweetness cinnamon That's all! Leave it in the fridge for at least 6-8 hours. That's why it is best to make this at night too. For the ones that I made here. I used 1/4 cup of chia seeds for each fruit flavour with 1 cup of milk, for strawberries, I had about 80g of that and I added 3/4 cup of milk instead because it is quite a juicy fruit. ►Carrot cake Overnight Oats► 60g of carrots (i've added heaps, you can add half of that if you're not a fan of carrots) 1 cup of rolled oats 1 1/2 cup of almond milk Maple syrup (this is optional. I've added 1 TBS) 15 g of raisins (add more if you like it sweeter) 1 tsp of cinnamon powder 1 TBS of chia seeds 1 tsp of vanilla extract Put it in the fridge overnight. INGREDIENTS: per person 2 slices of bread 2 eggs 50 grams bacon handful baby spinach leaves 15 grams Hollandaise Sauce, 10 grams butter, METHOD: butter bread on one side and fry that side in pan over medium heat, remove from pan and keep warm. Fry Bacon in pan until browned on both sides, removed from pan and keep warm. With heat turned off add baby spinach leaves to pan with a few drops of water and place lid on to wilt spinach, Poach eggs in boiling water about 3 minutes until soft poached. warm Hollandaise sauce. To assemble; Place bacon on crusty side of bread, layer bacon, spinach and egg on top drizzle with hollandaise sauce. Thats IT! How easy and fantastic does that sound, look, smell and taste? On this New York City food tour we started off the day by going to one of the most famous restaurants in NYC, Katz's Delicatessen to eat pastrami. Next, we ate at a restaurants in New York City Chinatown called Spicy Village for an amazing pan of “Spicy Big Tray Chicken,” and for dinner I had chicken over rice from The Halal Guys, one of the most popular New York City street foods. 1:21 Katz's Delicatessen - There are few places in New York City for food as famous as Katz's Delicatessen, an absolute legendary deli in the city. Although it’s well overpriced, because it’s such a heritage NYC institution, it’s one of the must eat restaurants in the city. I arrived early in the morning, hoping to beat the crowds, which I did (go for breakfast if you want to avoid lines). After a little contemplation, I decided to go for the reuben with pastrami and a half of corned beef. The corned beef was alright, but the reuben with pastrami was incredible. Total price - $48.56 13:32 Spicy Village - Next up on this New York City food tour my wife and I walked around New York City Chinatown and eventually found our way over to a restaurant called Spicy Village (thanks to Monty for this recommendation). The one dish I mainly wanted to eat at Spicy Village was the Spicy big tray chicken, a pan of fried chicken parts and noodles in a spicy and mouth numbing broth. It was everything I had hoped for and more, and it was one of the best foods I ate in New York City! Total price - $22 - But along with the spicy big tray chicken we had an extra dish as well. 18:32 Times Square - One of the busiest and most recognized squares in the world is Times Square in New York City. So in the afternoon, happy and full of Spicy Village and Katz’s Deli, we walked over to Times Square to enjoy the people watching and the ridiculous amount of lights and action. 20:19 The Halal Guys - While walking through Times Square I remembered that one of the most popular New York City street food stalls wasn’t too far away. So we walked over to The Halal Guys, and I ordered chicken over rice. The chicken over rice itself is prepared pretty plain, but the flavor in The Halal Guys is all in the white and red sauce, both of which are incredibly flavorful and delicious. It was my first time to eat at The Halal Guys, and I’m pretty happy I did. Chicken over rice - $7 It was a great first full day in New York City with some incredibly delicious food. Probably my favorite dish of the day was the spicy big tray chicken from Spicy Village, but all the food was so food. Bacon Sausage Baby Red Potatoes /quartered 1 Red Pepper /chopped 1 Yellow Onion /chopped Salt and Pepper 10 Eggs - beaten 1 Bag Shredded Cheese 1 Bunch Green Onions /sliced Flour Tortillas Parchment Paper In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon (in batches if necessary) until crispy. Remove the bacon to a paper towel lined plate - leave to cool. In the same skillet - using leftover bacon grease (drain some if necessary) add the potatoes and season with salt and pepper. Once lightly browned add in peppers and onion. Cook until potatoes have browned and the peppers and onions have softened. Remove from pan and place in bowl to cool. In the same saucepan, cook sausage until browned and cooked through. Remove to a paper towel lined bowl. Finally, reduce heat to medium/low and pour beaten eggs into the skillet. Fold and stir eggs occasionally until cooked but still soft and moist. Remove from pan. Gather cooked ingredients - having let them all cool slightly. Additionally gather flour tortillas, shredded cheese and sliced green onions (optional) and set them out on your table/workspace. To assemble the burritos, lay out a tortilla and start with a base of eggs followed by desired toppings and finish with cheese. To wrap, fold in both sides and then fold the bottom up and over all the ingredients. Roll up tightly. (If you find the tortillas are tearing, heat them up - a few at a time - for 20 seconds in the microwave before assembling). Wrap up in parchment paper and repeat with remaining tortillas and ingredients, customizing the burritos to your liking. Place the parchment-wrapped burritos in a 1 gallon freezer bag and place in the freezer to store for up to one month. To reheat: Remove the frozen burrito from the freezer. Unwrap from parchment paper and wrap the frozen burrito up in a damp paper towel. Place on a microwave safe plate and microwave for 3 minutes. Remove from microwave and rest for one minute before unwrapping. Remove the paper towel, serve with hot sauce, salsa, or sour cream! Enjoy! Here is what you'll need! Servings 6 large muffins INGREDIENTS 3 cups flour 1 tablespoon sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 7 eggs 1 ¼ cup buttermilk 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1 cup sour cream 1 cup bacon, cooked and chopped 1 cup green onion, chopped 1 ½ cup cheddar cheese, shredded, divided 6 cup large muffin tin PREPARATION 1. Preheat oven to 350˚F (175˚C). Grease a 6 cup large muffin tin. 2. In a large mixing bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside. 3. In a medium mixing bowl whisk together 1 egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and sour cream. 4. To the dry ingredients, fold in the wet ingredients, cooked bacon, green onion and 1 ¼ cup of the cheddar cheese until just incorporated. 5. Using an ice cream scoop, fill each cup of a prepared large muffin tin with one large scoop. 6. Using a spoon, create a well in each of the scoops, pressing the batter up against the side of the pan, making sure it is deep enough to hold an egg. 7. Crack an egg into each of the wells of batter. 8. Using two spoons, drop small scoops of batter, first around the outside of the egg, building up the outer edge of the muffin and sealing in the egg whites and yolk, and finally over the top to cover the yolk. Be careful not to apply too much pressure while dropping above the yolk or it may break. 9. Top each muffin with remaining ¼ cup of cheddar cheese. 10. Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes 11. Remove from oven and allow to set 5 minutes before removing from pan. 12. Best served warm. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Enjoy! Music provided by Warner Chappell Inc. Used with permission
